We are Elena and Jo and we wanted to introduce ourselves to you, as one of us will come and visit the home at least once a month and give our views about how well the staff are looking after you, keeping you safe, helping you to be happy, healthy, to learn and to achieve your goals in life.

We may visit announced or unannounced, and at different times of the day.

Whilst at your home, we will ask to speak with you alone and/or as a group, if you wish. We would like you to tell us your views and experience of what life is like at your home. We are interested to know how safe you feel, and issues around safety, behaviour, rewards and sanctions. If you have had any concerns, how they have been dealt with. How you have a say about your care plan and the running of the home, and how the staff help you with your general health and well-being through education, hobbies and leisure, food, allowances, clothing etc.

Whatever you tell us will feed into our overall view of the home, and we won’t identify anything specific you may say unless you ask us to, unless the information you share means someone is at risk of harm.

We hope that you will be able to make some time to speak with us if you wish to. We look forward to meeting you when we visit.
